Felting Soap

Felting soap is a huge passion of mine.  Some days I love it even more than making soap.  I have been asked so many times how the process is done.  I finally made a video to show you.  I hope you enjoy!

February's Country Pick was Ghana!

Oh how excited I was when I Ghana popped up on the random county selector!  Ghana is a country full of wonderful resources.  I really hope you enjoy the soap I made to represent this country!



January's Pick for Me is Hungary

My first Country is Hungary!  I didn't really know much about Hungry but learned quite a bit!  This Challenge is so fun!  The most interesting thing I learned was Hungary is considered the Spa Capitol of the World!  I learned there are many natural Thermal Springs and Lakes all around Hungary!  People flock to these waters for their natural healing benifits.  Hungary is also home to the World's largest Thermal Lake, Lake Hévíz.  Many Bathhouses are still in use today dating back to the ancient Roman times...wow!  I found out so much about this country and made a soap I thought would represent the country of Hungary.  I made a Rose Hip Tea Soap with lots of nourishing properties.  I know this soap is not the most beautiful compaired to everyone elses creations but I wanted to make a natural soap to represent this country full of natural goodness.  I hope you enjoy the video!

2013 Universal Love Soap Challenge

I found a YouTube soap challenge to start the New Year! Lucy SimplyRadiantSC is hosting the Challenge!  Watch the video and and she has instructions to join the challenge!  I look forward to seeing all of the soaps produced by all the wonderful and talented soapmakiers out there!  This is a 12 month challenge and there is still time to get in on January!  Have fun everyone!

Making Cucumber Soap

Hello everyone!  Well it's the last weekend of 2012 and I decided to make my favorite soap.  I am down to my last bar I stashed away for myself.  I just love the bubbly creamy goodness of Cucumber soap.  I use the both the juice of the cucumber and the peels in this soap.  I could have kicked myself in the rear for not letting it sit in the mold for one more day.  I figured it gelled so it would be fine getting it out of the mold...wrong a few bits on the ends(as you will see in the cutting video) stuck to the mold...grrr.  Luckly, I cut the ends off anyway so no harm done to the full soap bars. Well I  hope you enjoy the videos.  One day I will be able to actually talk in my videos but when the gang is all here I get interupted alot so I hope the music I added is ok.
